Toilet Paper Roll Candles

Skill level: Easy...

...if you can use a glue gun

Inspiration from:  House of Dewberry
....the imagination on this woman is something
to be jealous of.  Go check out her site - great inspiration for next year's Halloween party !!

Supplies: Toilet paper/ Paper towel cardboard inserts,
hot glue, paint, marbles and masking tape.

Step 1:
Tear off the top of the
cardboard insert (uneven and jagged)
This will help to create the look of a burnt down candle.

Step 2:
To weight down the cardboard, tape rocks or flat
marbles to the bottom inside of the toilet paper roll.

 Step 3:
Using masking tape, create a lip inside the top of the
cardboard roll to house the tea light.

Step 4:
Drip several layers of hot glue up and down the top of the
cardboard insert (allowing each layer to dry between coats)

 Step 5:
After the glue dries, paint the cardboard -
we made batches of white, off white and black candles.

We recruited friends and family to save all cardboard
inserts for months!
These faux candles were scattered throughout the party and made a huge impact!! Not to mention, a safe one!
